WELCOME TO MY WORLD--

...A world I entered enthusiastically more years ago than I care to remember. It has served as the means to earn my keep as well as allowing me to leave the real world behind and explore the realm of my fantasies. In my world, I am always the wide-eyed child!

My world is The World of Comics.

I hope to share my world with you on this website. Its my fondest desire that you will be pleased enough with what you see here today to visit often and I wish that you will take the time to let me know what you think of my world!

This spiffy new website design is brought to you courtesy of the multi- talented Sorah Suhng, who managed to design it in "spare time" between acting as Bob Layton's art assistant and going to school to hone her many abilities! A tip of the Giordano cap goes to my partner Bob Layton, who has offered valuable support and good advice along the way. It's been a long, (because I've been busy, too) but fun, journey for me. I have been occupied drawing comics that may have fallen below your radar and drawing commissioned art for collectors.

A possible exception to the comics of mine that you haven't seen might be COLONY, which appears every thirty days on Bob Layton's website. If you're one of the half-dozen people that haven't been following it, check it out on Bob Layton.com. New episodes are posted on the first of every month.

I've also just finished drawing a 64-page graphic novel, the maiden effort of new writer Peter Hernandez. Remember that name-- as you'll be hearing more about him. THE UNSEEN will probably be on comic shop shelves in the spring of 2008, sporting (as of this writing) a Neal Adams/ Dick Giordano cover.

My World can now also boast of a new series that will appear on ComicMix, early next year. ComicMix is a start-up publisher operated by experienced professionals who plan to bring comics to you, initially online and then, in print. My new series is titled WHITE VIPER and is written by Frank MacLaughlin.

Additionally, I’m working with my assistant, Rob Jones, on a new feature called PERFECT STORM. I'm a sucker for strips featuring strong female leads and this is definitely one of them! No publishing dates yet.

There are another half-dozen projects in the talking stages but I don't like to speculate about "maybes."

I hope to show you the things I'm doing right now, mixed with a few trips down ‘memory lane’, and an exploration of my views of the world of comics, yesterday, today and tomorrow. And, of course, scads of original art work! My gallery will contain art penciled and inked by me, just penciled by me, just inked by me and some art that you have, most likely, never seen before! I will try to surprise you, now and then, with rare or unusual pieces of my art and even some work by other artists.

But mostly, I want to hear from you! Sure, ordering a commissioned drawing or purchasing an original page will make me happy, but really good communications needn't all be about money!
